NOMINEE AND NEW ENTRANT 278 GUIDE

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics has launched a new web guide for individuals filing a public financial disclosure report (OGE Form 278) as new entrants or as nominees to Presidentially-appointed, Senate-confirmed (PAS) positions. This guide walks filers through the public financial disclosure requirements, providinginstructions, illustrations, definitions, and answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) in plain language. The guide also contains a “For Ethics Officials” section that includes links to helpful resources and a subject index.
The guide is located in the “Financial Disclosure” section of OGE’s website. You can also access the guide by clicking the following link: http://www.oge.gov/Financial-Disclosure/Public-Financial-Disclosure-278/Public-Financial-Disclosure/. More content, including new entries, additional FAQs, and conflict-of-interest analyses, will be added to the guide over time.
