Published Notices

The Privacy Act requires Government agencies to publish certain notices in the Federal Register, and the E-Government Act of 2002 requires that Government agencies provide a Privacy Impact Assessment for each system of records which an agency requests funding.

Privacy Impact Assessments

The E-Government Act of 2002 requires each government agency that maintains a system of records publish a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA). A PIA addresses, among other things, what information is to be collected, why the information is being collected, the intended use by the agency of the information, and with whom the information will be shared.  Listed below are the Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) of the Office of Government Ethics (OGE).
