Federal employees have the right to be free from prohibited personnel practices, including retaliation for whistleblowing. OGE is committed to providing a work environment free from whistleblower retaliation and ensuring that all employees are aware of their rights as well as the safeguards that are in place to protect them. The U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC) is an independent investigative and prosecutorial agency whose primary mission is to safeguard the merit system by protecting federal employees and applicants from prohibited personnel practices, including reprisal for whistleblowing.
