Records Management at OGE

OGE has a Records Officer who also serves as OGE’s designated Senior Agency Official (SAO) responsible for ensuring the agency’s compliance with records management statutes and the implementing regulations of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). OGE has established and disseminated records management policies and procedures to ensure that all records, including email, are maintained and disposed of according to NARA-approved records disposition schedules. OGE is currently implementing plans to achieve compliance with the requirements set forth in the Managing Government Records Directive of August 24, 2012, M-12-18.
