On Wednesday, July 30, OGE Director Walter M. Shaub, Jr., held his third quarterly meeting of the year with Designated Agency Ethics Officials (DAEOs) from across the executive branch at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Quarterly meetings provide an opportunity for OGE to share information on emerging issues and to announce new ethics program initiatives. During Wednesday's meeting, the Director and members of OGE's leadership team discussed a variety of issues, including OGE's upcoming National Ethics Summit and record-breaking training efforts. They also discussed the status of program reviews, new legal advisories and annual financial disclosure reporting. Among other successes, OGE's Compliance Division recognized agency ethics officials for expediting their reviews of annual financial disclosures.
The next quarterly meeting will be held in October.
